17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.Colossians 3:17 (King James Version)
Some people sing when they take shower. Some people sing when they go up or down their home’s staircases. Some people sing when they cook.
The singing springs from the heart. No one has forced them to and no one has asked them to.
How many times do you call the name of Jesus in a day, week, month, or year?
Do you call His name only when you need help?
Do you call His name out of duty because you read it somewhere in the Bible? Or do you call His name because of the desire that springs from your heart?
Father in Heaven, bless me that I may do everything in the name of Jesus.
Bless me that in my trials and challenges, may I never forget to call the name of Jesus.
Bless me that in my successes and joys, may I never miss giving thanks to you in the name of Jesus.
Father, may calling the name of Jesus spring from the bottom of my heart, and not from my head.
May the joy and fulfillment of calling the name of Jesus be guided by the Holy Spirit.
Today, I have many concerns and I pray that in the name of Jesus, may my loved ones and I be blessed with good health, a sound mind, and abundance for us to thrive despite the challenges and trials.
In the name of Jesus, I pray to you. Amen.
- Make it a point to call the name of Jesus when you wake up in the morning and when you go to sleep.
- Make it a point to call the name of Jesus every time you eat.
- Make it a point to call the name of Jesus every time you make crucial decisions.
I hope that the challenges above may help us practice the Bible passage so we can live it in our lives just as it is written: “Whatsoever You Do In Word or Deed, Do All in the Name of Jesus.”
