For we walk by faith, not by sight

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

We commemorate our salvation through Jesus, who died, resurrected from the dead, and ascended to Heaven.

It is by the grace of God that we are saved, and not because we earned it through good works. As humans, we often err, but through God’s grace, we can be saved.

We are given the grace to believe that Jesus has died, resurrected, and ascended to Heaven to save us.

Personally, I believe that our good works do not merit us our salvation. Our good works may entitle us to Heaven’s different rewards or titles, but not salvation.

  • In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (John 14:2)
  • Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

For us to be saved, we only have to receive the grace of accepting and believing that Jesus is our savior.

These words may sound a bit strange to many. This may be because we walk by faith and not by sight.

Thanksgiving and prayer intentions:

We want to thank YHWH, our God, for providing for our daily needs and granting us our dreams and wishes.

We pray to our God, YHWH, for world peace.

Can we pray for our teenagers and youths? May they find the meaning and purpose God has etched in their hearts despite these challenging and crazy times. I would like to pray for one particular youth who has lost the drive to continue schooling. May he find the joy, fulfillment, and purpose that God has prepared for him in life.

I would also like to pray for a friend trying to change his profession from a sales representative to a nurse. May he be blessed and may he pass all the exams and requirements to fulfill this dream.

You can send your prayer request here or via email.

I invite you to become one of Christ’s silent warriors. I will be sending you prayer requests each week. And in return, we ask you to send any prayer requests that we can share with other silent warriors.
