The Passover Lamb

Jesus Christ serves as a metaphor for the ultimate sacrificial lamb. Before Jesus died it was a tradition for Israelites to slaughter a young lamb on pass-over as a symbol of offering for sins. Jesus ended up being the ultimate pure lamb to make up for all the darkness that existed in the world. God gave us this gift so that we too could be pure. We didn’t deserve it. We were full of impure thoughts and luckily for us, God decided his Love was bigger than everything.
