Passage 52: Stop Anger as It Leads to Evil

Anger Psalm 37:8

Stop being angry, put aside rage, and don’t be upset — it leads to evil.

Psalm 37:8 (Complete Jewish Bible)

As far as I know, everyone has been angry at one point in time.
There are times when we can easily brush off anger.
There are also times when we tend to hold to anger, especially when we know we are right and someone has done wrong to us.

When you are in this situation, I believe, it is the best time to let go of that anger. At times, the spirit of pride can take over and will lead you to do something that you might regret.

Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, for example, or motivate you to find solutions to problems. But excessive anger can cause problems.

Father in Heaven, forgive me for dwelling on the anger.
It is so hard to stop being angry when I know that I am right and someone had done me wrong.

But who am I to dwell in that anger? I have done you wrong many times over as well.
Forgive me Father and grant me again the peace of mind that you’ve bestowed upon me.

Grant me Father the calmness and assurance that no matter what,
You are with me throughout the way.
Father, bless me and may your peace dwell in my heart and mind.

This I ask through Jesus, our messiah. Amen.

When you feel the anger inside of you, release it to God asking his help to give you the peace of mind.
