Passage 88: The Lord Loves Justice

Turn away from evil and do good; so shall you dwell forever. For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever.

Psalm 37:27-29

Reflection

It seems disheartening to see the children of the wicked thriving, while the passage above says the opposite.

But who are we to judge God when the children of the wicked are cut off? Who are we to know the full extent of His plans.

As the people after the heart of YHWH, we can only hope and pray that we persevere and stay faithful until His promises are realized.

A lot has happened during the week: both locally and internationally. Let us continue to put our trust in God.

Through the scripture, we know that God Loves Justice. Let us continue to do good and rely on His justice as He will it.

Through the Word of God, we may have some ideas of what can happen. Through the Word of God, we can find the strength to continue this journey. And only through the Word of God can we have the courage and the faith that everything will be alright.

Challenge:

Read the Word of God and draw strength from it. As much as you nourish your body with food, feed your soul with the Word of God.

Prayer

In the name of Jesus, my savior and king, I pray to the Father that he may continue to protect, provide, and bless my loved ones and me. Through this simple act of faith, I pray that may God grant me and honor my wishes to have my descendants under His banner, family, and kingdom throughout the ages. Finally, I pray that God may send His Holy Spirit to guide us and empower us in these tumultuous times. Amen.
