Finding Solace in the Grace and Love of God

Today’s message results from doing nothing except reflecting on my life.

I believe that spending time reflecting on one’s life can be beneficial in many ways:

  • It can help us better understand ourselves and our experiences, identify areas for personal growth, set goals, and develop a sense of perspective and gratitude.
  • Reflecting on one’s life can also help us process difficult emotions and experiences, leading to greater self-awareness and personal insight.
  • Additionally, reflecting on one’s life can help us appreciate the present moment and make the most of our time.

My reflection:

I came to this world with nothing except the grace and love of God.
I will leave this world with nothing except the grace and love of God.

We come into the world with nothing and leave with nothing. We should be content with what we have and not be obsessed with getting rich because that can lead to evil and harm. It also says that loving money can cause people to stray away from their faith and lead to sorrow.

Being blessed with riches and wealth is very different from being obsessed with getting rich. However, the facade may seem similar.

Being obsessed with getting rich can lead to a variety of negative consequences, including:

With that said, I look for a Bible passage to confirm what I have in mind:

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(1 Timothy 6:7-10)

Prayer

Father in Heaven, I pray that you may send your Holy Spirit to guide me. Please grant me the wisdom to direct my efforts in what would last. Please provide me with the passion and the gift to fulfill them for your purpose.

Bless my loved ones and me. May your hand and protection be with us. May your divine providence shower us with your abundance.

Enlighten me and empower me with your grace. This I ask in the name of Jesus, my savior and king. Amen.
