Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath unto the Lord Your God, in it you shall not do any manner of work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.

Exodus 31:16-17 clearly says that the children of Israel are to keep the Sabbath, to make the Sabbath-observance throughout their generations as a covenant for ages; between me and the Children of Israel a sign it is, for the ages, for in six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day he ceased and paused-for-breath.
This is quite clear: to keep the Sabbath throughout the generations as a sign and a covenant.
Even Jesus Christ who is known as Yeshua observed the Sabbath. Therefore if Jesus or Yeshua observed the Sabbath, why couldn’t the Christians do same.

Sabbath (ת בש shabbath’)
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 23:2-3
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work: it is the Sabbath of Yahuah in all your dwellings.
The word of the son of Israel, say at the appointed time of Yahuah, do call it a divine and holy meeting, these they are appointed times; six days do work; day seven is a Sabbath of rest, a holy meeting, all work do not do, for it is Yahuah’s Sabbath for all dwellings (abodes). — taken from the Teaching Notes of Stephen Pidgeon.
There are many ways on how one can express or observe the Sabbath.
Here is a video on how to keep Shabbat:
“Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.
“If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot From doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the LORD honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word,
Then you will take delight in the LORD, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
